Overview

The Sales Manager is the backbone of our Sales Team, ensuring the team is trained and prepared to solve our clients’ challenges. The Sales Manager manages a real-time Scorecard (KPIs) for the Sales Team, monitors activity in Salesforce, and coaches the Sales Team in pre- and post-client meetings to ensure clients receive the best “In-Telecom Experience.”

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets
  • Foster a positive Lead, Manage, and Accountability (LMA) culture
  • Provide clear directions and communicate with clients and team members
  • Understand customer needs and match company offerings
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience in selling to mid and executive level managers in a competitive marketplace
  • Observe ride-alongs and provide team members with effective coaching and feedback
  • Maintain working CRM knowledge, preferably Salesforce, and ensure the team uses the system
  • Manage Scorecard and Team Needs
  • Drive accountability through tools and processes
  • Ensure pipeline is visible
  • Ensure forecasting is reliable
  • Communicate resource needs and back up with data
  • Develop and implement sales plans; ensure overall sales plan alignment
Operations Processes and Procedures
  • Identify gaps in standards, processes, and procedures and mentor staff to align with changes
  • Clarify and resolve process gaps with department leaders
  • Communicate the importance of the sales process to the team
  • Capture sales process best practices, build or enhance tools, provide training, and drive adoption
  • Establish a consistent way the sales organization operates, with a rhythm of meetings and activities to drive performance
  • Sales process and reporting
  • Activity expectations
  • Routine meetings (1:1s, group, training, forecasting, management reporting)
  • Systems for proposals and forecasting
  • Effective use of CRM
  • Expense management and expectations
Agreement Deliverable Management
  • Understanding ITC agreements
  • Review and approve all quotes
  • Review and approve all service agreements
Contributes to the Leadership Team
  • Demonstrates business acumen on how the Company operates strategically, financially, and operationally
  • Maintains open, productive communication with the President and leadership team
  • Participates in leadership meetings and provides sales updates
  • Provides visibility into pipeline, forecast, leading indicators, and lagging indicators
  • Works collaboratively with other departments
  • Leads the sales team toward growth and aligns with company values and culture
  • Presents a professional image in appearance, communications, and interactions
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus
  • 5–7 years of experience in sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or sales management role
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, strategies, and processes
  • Proven success in driving revenue growth in the tech industry
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities to inspire and motivate teams
  • Experience in MSP, VOIP, Security Cameras/Access points preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress
  • Deep understanding of sales and marketing strategies in the tech service sector
  • Familiarity with current technology trends and market developments
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Suite
