Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Slidell, LA

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) | Call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays

• Provide direct patient care in an active operating room environment handling 10–25 cases per day across 7 rooms
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties as assigned within the OR setting
• Participate in on-call rotation including weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage
• Work 2 weekends per 6-week schedule as part of standard rotation
• Respond to emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site until the event passes or serving on a relief team

• Active Registered Nurse license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – AHA required
• NURSYS report must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address (as reflected on driver's license) – local travelers are not accepted
• Must be separated from any prior employment within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a travel nurse

• Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience preferred but not required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers with sufficient OR experience will be considered

• Scrubs are provided, reducing out-of-pocket expenses for travelers
• Orientation is held 5 days a week with billable modules completed during orientation hours
