Position Overview
Part‑time Eye Care Advisor at Lens Crafters store #005153. The role focuses on delivering exceptional patient experience and high‑quality optometric care while supporting day‑to‑day store operations.
Key Responsibilities- Greets customers promptly (within 30 seconds) and answers the telephone within three rings.
- Explains required paperwork, tests, products, and services to patients.
- Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; consults with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary.
- Handles customer inquiries with patience and courtesy, resolving unsatisfied situations quickly.
- Performs appointment scheduling, maintains accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA, and documents contact lens orders and shipments.
- Operates the POS system for inputting customer/patient data and processing payments, including credit cards, layaways, discounts, insurance, and coupons.
- Communicates processing times and store promotions to customers and staff.
- Maintains store appearance and visual displays according to company guidelines.
- Ensures a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
- Supports the optometrist with pre‑examination testing, clinical guidance, and contact lens inventory maintenance.
- Provides coaching on contact lens care and handling.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Strong customer‑service skills (internal and external).
- Knowledge of current fashion trends.
- Excellent communication and listening abilities.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
- Organizational skills.
- Sales aptitude.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of office and store merchandise.
- Experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Pay Range: $23.14 per hour. Employees may also receive a competitive bonus and/or commission plan. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
