Tire & Battery Technician - Automotive

Position Overview

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will provide safe and efficient service in both sales and service areas, delivering member value and quality. You will collaborate with associates to meet customer expectations.

• Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate associates on tools and tasks, mentor new technicians, and communicate interpersonal skills for safe customer service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and Point of Sale systems, including phone and in‑person selling techniques.
• Leverage digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve service experience, and elevate associate engagement using handheld technology, making immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, training, and adopting new tools.
• Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to TBC Lead; track returns and special orders; operate cash registers; process transactions; maintain inventory audit, safety, and compliance standards; report complaints, hazards, and problems; complete paperwork logs and documentation; package, label, and store merchandise per company policy; identify member needs; assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
• Act as a brand advocate, modeling high‑quality service and products, influencing and inspiring others, supporting a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style, and assisting in training teammates.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing action plans and using the Open Door Policy in business processes.
• Prioritize work assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; adapt to change and learn from feedback.

• Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage in the job location.
• Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed; multiple premiums may apply.
