Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician at our facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the hospital environment remains safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across building systems, equipment, and utilities. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you will help maintain optimal performance of mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems while supporting daily operations and projects.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Performing general maintenance and repairs on the building, grounds, and facility equipment to ensure everything remains in proper working order.
- Troubleshooting issues, identifying problems, and resolving them efficiently.
- Operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and fire protection systems.
- Responding to and monitoring work orders in a timely manner.
- Assisting with construction, renovation, and remodeling projects as needed.
- Inspecting building systems and utilities to determine the need for repairs or improvements.
- Maintaining facility grounds and assisting with moving materials and equipment.
- Reporting hazardous conditions, equipment issues, and safety concerns immediately to leadership.
- Participating in an on-call rotation schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
Qualifications
To join our team, you'll need the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems.
- Experience with HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and related equipment preferred.
- Basic carpentry and repair skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Experience and responsibility in a maintenance field. Basic mechanical aptitudes and a working knowledge of electrical and maintenance systems. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry skills. Possess ability to read blue print and schematic diagrams.
