Overhead Crane Mechanic

Main Responsibilities:
- Interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to establish work procedures.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair overhead cranes, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Repair hoists and various pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems through ongoing training, industry workshops, and technical literature.
- Implement a preventative maintenance program for both onshore and offshore cranes.
- Monitor competitive activities and contribute positively to the company's image and reputation.
- Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment effectively.
- Adhere to driving guidelines for the assigned company vehicle.
- Accurately identify all types of crane components.
- Identify and request necessary replacement parts to facilitate repairs.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Understand and comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, within the physical constraints of the role.
Qualifications &
Experience:
- Understand the basic operations of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, including machinery alignment and rigging principles.
- Relevant experience in a service-related field, with a focus on electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with good depth perception.
- Completed mandated field hours and demonstrate competency in the role.
- Familiarity with crane rigging procedures is essential.
- Maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to perform tasks independently and efficiently.
