Position Summary

Full‑time temporary position teaching in the Mathematics and Statistics Program for the 2026‑27 academic year. The teaching load is 24 semester‑hours per year. Courses are taught in‑person on campus. The successful applicant will be expected to teach mathematics and statistics courses for general education and engage in scholarship and service to the institution.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in mathematics or the mathematical sciences (including statistics, or mathematics education) with evidence of effective teaching experience at the college level. Successful performance in an interview, including a teaching demonstration. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or Statistics with a documented history of effective teaching at a four‑year institution or directing faculty‑student research projects. Experience teaching majors that are not in STEM is preferred.

Cover letters should address evidence of teaching effectiveness and experience. Applicants must provide the names and contact information for three references that can speak to their teaching effectiveness and other qualifications.

Copies of successful clearance forms, including Act 34 Background Check and Act 151 (Child Abuse) Background Check and Federal Criminal (FBI) clearance are required prior to appointment. Full consideration will be given to applications received by January 31, 2026.
