Position Summary
The School of Business at Slippery Rock University invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty member to teach graduate and undergraduate Accounting courses beginning August 2026. Instructional delivery may include traditional face‑to‑face, online, and alternative instructional methods. Teaching load might include classes in multiple related business disciplines based on the department’s and program’s needs. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is preferred.
Responsibilities- ABD (with anticipated completion date prior to December 2026) or doctoral degree in Accounting or related area from an AACSB‑accredited program and one or more accounting‑related certifications.
- Successful performance in an interview, including a research demonstration and teaching demonstration.
- Commitment to the education of diverse populations and the ability to work productively with students and colleagues, and engagement in appropriate research endeavors.

Recommended candidates will be required to complete a criminal background check, including Act 34 Background Check and Act 151 (Child Abuse) Background Check, and Federal Criminal (FBI) clearance prior to appointment.
