Slippery Rock University invites applications for a full‑time, temporary Social Work faculty member in the Department of Psychology, Social Work, and Recreational Therapy for the 2026–2027 academic year. The instructor will teach four courses per semester—typically two undergraduate and two graduate courses—a mix of in‑person and online delivery. The primary instructional need is within clinical practice courses in the BSSW and MSW programs, though assignments will depend on departmental needs.
The instructor will also engage in service activities and scholarship as appropriate to a one‑year position, attend meetings, and participate in ongoing departmental activities.
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program.
- Minimum of two years of post‑MSW Social Work practice experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to the education of diverse populations.
- Master’s–level social work license (e.g., LSW, LMSW, LGSW, etc.) and eligibility to obtain a clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LISW, etc.).
- Doctorate in Social Work preferred.
- Experience teaching clinical social work practice courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Experience with in‑person, online, and/or hybrid instruction.
- Advanced clinical practice experience with individuals, families, or groups.
