Teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester (4 courses). Faculty members are required by contract to engage in continuing scholarly development and academic advising, and to perform department and university service. Days and times are variable.
Primary duties include teaching undergraduate courses in the Digital Media Production curriculum, with an emphasis on multimediaproduction, digital design, and user‑centered interactive media. Areas of instruction may include audio and video production, webdesign and content management, and digital imaging and layout (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). The department seeks a candidate with expertise in applied digital media practices, including the creation and integration of audio, visual, and interactive content across web and mobile platforms.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to teach audio and video production and connect principles of instructional strategy and emerging technologies to support engaging and effective digital communication. Experience teaching interactive media (UI/UX design) and prototyping are welcomed.
The candidate may be asked to teach additional courses as needed by the department, including Civil Discourse, and may have the opportunity to teach in their area of specialization.
