Work ScheduleThe Fall and Spring schedules are still to be determined. The positions will cover a non majors course (Science of Life- SCI 101) either in person or asynchronous online. Depending on scheduling need and expertise, they also may teach in person introductory biology laboratory sessions.
Position SummarySlippery Rock University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a temporary Instructor in the Biology Department. This instructor will teach 24 contact hours in a year of a combination of Science of Life (Non-majors science course, SCI 101) and introductory biology laboratory sessions.
Minimum QualificationsMaster of Science in biology or closely related field (For example: medical technology, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, etc.). Commitment to the education of diverse populations. Successful performance in an interview and teaching demonstration.
Preferred QualificationsPast experience teaching at the university level, specifically non-majors introductory biology courses.
