Position Summary
Dispatching for police officers of Slippery Rock University Police Department. Responsible for answering phone calls, radio calls, and traffic control to assist in directing and parking vehicles and patrol services.
Work Schedule- Current opening is the 3-11 shift.
- Two consecutive days off, days off are Tuesday and Wednesday.
- May be required to work holidays and mandatory overtime (which may consist of working the 7-3 and 11-7 shifts).

- Knowledge of computer usage.
- Experience in dispatching, call centers, or law enforcement.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of common building safety practices.
- Experience working with diverse cultures and possess an understanding of diverse populations.
Recommended candidate will be required to complete criminal background check, including Act 34 Background Check and Act 151 (Child Abuse) Background Check and Federal Criminal (FBI) clearance prior to appointment. Provide three professional references in the application form.
