Level 3 Nursery Nurse

Job Description

Great opportunity at an award‑winning Nursery in Langley for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse. This is a permanent role working 40 hours a week and the Nursery opening times are 07:30‑18:00. This is a large nursery with 10 rooms and they offer great career progression into senior roles and continuous career support. Whether you are an experienced Nursery Nurse or newly qualified, this would be a great opportunity for your career.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Level 3 Childcare qualification that is recognised by the EYFS.

Nursery Nurse Duties include but not limited to :
  • Viewing planning sheets and record‑keeping of all the staff in your room
  • Ensuring routines are followed and run smoothly
  • Ensuring new decisions are taken on board and maintained in the room at all times
  • Ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed by all staff
  • Being an excellent role model to the other staff in your room
Nursery Nurse Requirements :
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare education
  • Experience providing play and learning opportunities for children
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to be organised and efficient
  • The ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
  • Acting as a key‑worker and observing
  • A working knowledge of the Children’s Act
  • Experience working with toddlers or preschool children
  • Good communication skills with both children and parents
  • Ability to form good interactions with children and use one's own initiative
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS is a must
