Initial 3-Month Rolling Contract
Pay: £18.75 per hour (umbrella) (£14.47 PAYE an hour)

About the Role:

Slough Borough Council is seeking Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our team across a variety of early years settings. You will provide high-quality care and education for children, supporting their development and safeguarding, and contributing to the smooth daily operation of the setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver curriculum and educational programmes, supporting children’s learning and development
Provide full care and supervision, ensuring all children’s needs are met
Promote inclusion, equality, and positive behaviour
Maintain accurate children’s records and adhere to health & safety procedures
Work in partnership with schools, agencies, and local community services
Assist in setting promotion and marketing activities
Attend planning and staff meetings as required
Work across multiple settings as needed

Available

Shifts:

Chalvey Grove – Mon–Fri (various Level 2 & 3 shifts, 09:00–18:00)
Romsey Close – Mon–Fri (various Level 2 & 3 shifts, 08:00–16:15)
Penn Road – Tue–Thu (Level 2 & 3 shifts, 09:00–16:15)
Yew Tree Road – Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri (Level 3 shifts, 09:00–15:15)
Monksfield Way – Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (Level 3 shifts, 08:00–15:15)

Requirements:

Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent)
Experience working in an early years setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and child development
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, schools, and multi-agency teams
