A well-regarded secondary school in Slough is seeking a Science Technician to join their busy and supportive Science department. This full-time role is ideal for graduates or experienced technicians with a strong science background who are looking to support practical learning in a school environment.

The school has a strong emphasis on STEM education and practical-based learning, with well-equipped laboratories and a collaborative Science team. As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring lessons run smoothly by preparing materials, maintaining equipment and supporting safe practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

• Prepare equipment, materials and resources for Science lessons
• Support teachers during practical experiments
• Ensure laboratories are fully stocked, safe and well maintained
• Assist with setting up demonstrations and experiments across KS3 and KS4
• Maintain health and safety standards within the Science department

• A degree in Science or a related subject is desirable (or equivalent experience)
• Strong understanding of Biology, Chemistry or Physics practical work
• Good organisational and time‑management skills
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Experience in a lab or school environment is advantageous

• Hands‑on role within a well‑resourced Science department
• Excellent experience in a school STEM environment
• Supportive and experienced teaching and technician team
• Opportunity to develop technical and laboratory skills
