Position Summary
This position supports the Office of Student Engagement through event assistance, student organization support, campus communication, and operational coordination. This position assists with the implementation of student-centered programming and helps maintain an engaging campus environment through administrative and hands-on event support. The ideal candidate is organized, student-focused, adaptable, and able to assist in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and strong communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with the planning and execution of campus events and student activities.
- Provide operational support for major campus initiatives including First Year Programming, Welcome Week, Graduation activities, leadership programs, and student engagement events.
- Support communication efforts through flyers, social media posts, event calendars, and promotional materials.
- Assist student organizations with event preparation, logistics, and campus procedures.
- Help coordinate event set-up, vendor arrival, check-in processes, and event breakdown.
- Maintain student engagement records, attendance tracking, and participation data.
- Provide front-line support for the Office of Student Engagement, including student interaction and general office assistance.
- Collaborate with campus departments and partners to support student success initiatives.
- Assist with inventory, supply organization, and event materials management.
- Support student workers and volunteers during events and engagement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of Student Engagement operations.

Education Minimum: Associate's degree
Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
Experience minimum: One to three years of experience working with a diverse student population. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and across divisional organization.
Language Skills- Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Independently prepare correspondence and written materials related to assigned activities.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Understand, interpret, apply, explain, and ensure compliance with administrative and office policies and procedures.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva or other design program, as well as social media management tools.
