PT Entry-Level Grant Writer

Summary:

PT Entry-Level Grant Writer will assist in researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to various funding sources. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate our organization's mission and goals to potential funders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and programs.
  • Assist in writing grant proposals, including drafting narratives, developing budgets, and gathering supporting documents.
  • Collaborate with program managers and other team members to gather information and data for grant proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, deadlines, and outcomes.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on grant expenditures and outcomes as required by funders.
  • Stay informed about grant trends, funding opportunities, and best practices in grant writing.
  • All other duties assigned.

  • Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses
  • Ability to write reports, project descriptions and scope, and routine business correspondence.
  • Ability to present effectively information, respond to questions and concerns immediately and facilitate satisfactory resolutions to problems.
  • Ability to utilize technology effectively.
  • Experience fostering and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in operations and training standards that meet best industry practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Education Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a relevant area of study). Experience Minimum:
One (1) year experience in grant writing/management and project management.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of industry partners, students, faculty, and the general public.

Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute salary rates and percentages and interpret results.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form

Computer

Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including:
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Power Point
  • Familiarity with College Systems such as Colleague, OnBase, E-Pro etc. is a plus.
