Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (M–Th 3:30PM–2:00AM)

Job Type: Full-time
DescriptionTo ensure all plant processing and facilities equipment are running at optimum efficiency on a daily basis.
Principal Duties- Maintain and repair processing equipment.
- Maintain and repair facilities equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on processing and plant equipment.
- Electrical troubleshooting.
- Mechanical troubleshooting.
- Communicate and document work performed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or requested by management.
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Excellent aptitude and demonstrated experience in the following trades required:
- Mechanical repair
- Fundamental electrical 24V to 480V troubleshooting, repair, and installation
- Working knowledge of PLCs, servo motors/drives, and AC/DC variable-speed frequency drives
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Plumbing/pipe fitting
- Welding and fabricating
- Machine tool
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Facilities maintenance
- Must demonstrate journeyman-level competence in all of the above trade skills.
- Manage and perform projects independently.
- Mentor Maintenance Mechanic 1 levels.
- Experience in repair of high-speed processing and paper converting equipment is preferred.
- License or certificates in any of the following trades is required:
- Electrical installations, troubleshooting and repair 24V-480V
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
- Welding and fabrication
- Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
- Machine tools
- Plumbing and pipe fitting
- Facilities repair
- Will be required to lift up to 10 pounds; may be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to talk and hear over loud volumes.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and sit.
- Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Must be able to work in a noisy and dusty manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
- Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
