Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (M–Th 3:30PM–2:00AM)

Job Type: Full-time

To ensure all plant processing and facilities equipment are running at optimum efficiency on a daily basis.

• Maintain and repair processing equipment.
• Maintain and repair facilities equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on processing and plant equipment.
• Electrical troubleshooting.
• Mechanical troubleshooting.
• Communicate and document work performed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or requested by management.

High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent aptitude and demonstrated experience in the following trades required:

• Mechanical repair
• Fundamental electrical 24V to 480V troubleshooting, repair, and installation
• Working knowledge of PLCs, servo motors/drives, and AC/DC variable-speed frequency drives
• Mechanical troubleshooting
• Plumbing/pipe fitting
• Welding and fabricating
• Machine tool
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Facilities maintenance

• Must demonstrate journeyman-level competence in all of the above trade skills.
• Manage and perform projects independently.
• Mentor Maintenance Mechanic 1 levels.

• Experience in repair of high-speed processing and paper converting equipment is preferred.
• License or certificates in any of the following trades is required:
• Electrical installations, troubleshooting and repair 24V-480V
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• Welding and fabrication
• Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
• Machine tools
• Plumbing and pipe fitting
• Facilities repair

• Will be required to lift up to 10 pounds; may be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to talk and hear over loud volumes.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and sit.
• Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Must be able to work in a noisy and dusty manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
• Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
