Mechatronics and Robotics Technician

This role keeps automated equipment running safely and efficiently. As a Mechatronics and Robotics Technician, you'll maintain and troubleshoot machines used in a large distribution facility. You'll work on conveyors, robots, packaging equipment, and control systems. The job involves hands-on work—finding problems, fixing them, and getting equipment back up and running quickly. You'll go beyond basic maintenance by diagnosing issues, making repairs, and improving system performance across different types of equipment.

You'll also work around live operations where safety and quick response are important. This is a great fit for maintenance technicians who enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and learning new technology with diagnostic thinking, disciplined safety behavior, and ownership of equipment reliability outcomes.

Core technical responsibilities include:

• Restore failed automation and robotic systems to operational condition through structured troubleshooting
• Take technical ownership of assigned equipment zones and critical assets
• Execute both planned and corrective maintenance with high documentation accuracy
• Identify repeat failure patterns and recommend reliability improvements
• Support rapid response repair activity during operational events and unplanned downtime
• Maintain readiness of critical spare parts, tools, and test equipment
• Provide technical feedback to reliability and engineering partners on recurring failure points

Required background includes:

• High school diploma or GED
• One or more years of hands on technical maintenance experience in an industrial or automated setting
• Demonstrated electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Experience working with industrial equipment, controls components, or automation devices
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Comfortable using digital tools and maintenance tracking systems
• Physically able to lift up to fifty pounds and work at elevation when required
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

Preferred background includes:

• Technical diploma or associate degree in mechatronics, robotics, electrical, or industrial maintenance
• Two or more years supporting automated or robotics driven equipment
• Experience working around PLC controlled systems and industrial controls panels
• Experience troubleshooting sensors, drives, and motor control circuits
• CMMS usage experience
• Formal apprenticeship or trade program completion
• Training in industrial electrical safety practices
