Automotive Mechanic – Mavis Tires & Brakes

Location:

Smithfield, RI area.

As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Extensive personal toolbox used for undercar repairs.

• State inspection license(s).
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Automotive mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. They must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
