Job Description
The Smithfield Senior Center is hiring subcontract instructors in the following areas:
- Yogalates*
- Yoga*
- Chair Yoga*
- Zumba Gold & Zumba*
- Gentle Pilates / Pilates*
- Essentrics*
- Balance*
- Chorus Instructor
- Line Dancing
- Move & Groove
- Pottery with kiln access
- Arts and Crafts (Variety)
- Teach classes, typically one hour in length, 1-3 times per week, Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm.
- Adapt classes for people of different levels of experience and abilities.
- Work with older adults ranging from 55 to 85+ years.
- May be asked to teach a demo class.
- Certified in your field and preferably CPR trained.
- Experience working with older adults, 55 to 85+ years old.
- Skilled at adapting classes for varied experience levels and abilities.
Instructors will be paid on a flat rate per class based on program, certifications and experience.
