Position SummaryBryant University, a nationally recognized leader in higher education, is currently recruiting for adjunct teaching opportunities in the Politics, Society, and Law Department for the fall 2026 semester. Classes meet at our campus in Smithfield, RI. The fall semester starts Monday, August 31, 2026.
Courses and Sections- POLS 241. Introduction to International Politics – Introduction to the field of international politics, covering the nation‑state system, global interactions, and international institutions such as the United Nations and the World Bank. Available section: TF 12:45‑2:00.
- POLS 256 Introduction to U.S. Politics – Introductory course on the role of the U.S. government in American society, including the Constitution, Congress, the presidency, the Supreme Court, federalism, and contemporary policy debates. Available sections: MT 2:20‑3:35 and MT 3:55‑5:10.
Teaching at the undergraduate level and contributing to student growth and development through active involvement in student‑related co‑curricular activities.
Qualifications- Graduate degree (Master’s, ABD, or Doctorate) in political science or a related field.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Adjunct faculty are typically limited to teaching no more than two classes per semester.
