We're looking for someone who can master the fundamentals of accounts payable while developing the skills to advance into broader finance roles within our organization.

As part of our finance team, you'll play a critical role in maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring the financial health that keeps our transport network running smoothly. More importantly, you'll have the opportunity to grow, learn, and shape your career path with genuine support from leadership.

What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities:

* Invoice Processing & Controls:
Process high volumes of invoices with precision, ensuring proper 3-way matching (purchase orders, receipts, invoices) and adherence to company policies and internal controls

* Vendor Relationship Management:
Build strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and vendors. Handle inquiries professionally, resolve discrepancies proactively, and become a trusted point of contact

* Payment Processing & Cash Flow:
Ensure timely, accurate payments while understanding the broader impact on company cash flow and vendor relationships

* Reconciliations & Analysis:
Reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records, identify trends or anomalies, and escalate issues appropriately

* Financial Reporting:
Contribute to monthly AP reports and summaries, providing clear insights that help management make informed decisions

* Compliance & Audit Support:
Maintain compliance with financial policies and internal controls. Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring documentation is thorough and accessible

* Expense Management:
Monitor and process travel and business expenses, ensuring compliance with company guidelines while supporting operational needs

Growth & Development Opportunities:

* Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for efficiency gains

* Collaborate with procurement, operations, and other finance teams to understand end-to-end business processes

* Take ownership of special projects that expand your knowledge beyond traditional AP functions

* Develop skills in financial analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication that prepare you for advancement

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience &

Skills:

* 2-3 years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience, ideally in large-scale operations, transport, logistics, or similarly complex environments

* Technical proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), with the ability to learn new systems quickly

* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing high volumes of transactions under tight deadlines

* Strong problem-solving abilities-you can identify issues, investigate root causes, and resolve discrepancies independently

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders

What Sets You Apart:

* Growth mindset:
You're curious about how AP fits into the bigger financial picture and eager to learn about other finance functions

* Initiative and ownership:
You don't just process transactions-you look for ways to improve processes and add value

* Analytical thinking:
You can spot patterns, identify trends, and understand the business implications of your work

* Collaboration:

You work well across teams and enjoy building relationships with colleagues and external partners

* Adaptability:
You embrace change, whether it's new systems, processes, or priorities

* Leadership potential:
You've mentored colleagues, led small projects, or demonstrated the ability to guide others

Desirable (Not Required):

* Studying toward or interest in pursuing accounting qualifications (CA, CPA, or similar)

* Experience with process improvement or system implementation projects

* Background in transport, logistics, or asset-intensive industries
