Key Responsibilities- Assist with direct patient care activities, including obtaining patient histories and vital signs, verifying medications, preparing charts, managing documentation, tracking lab results, and conducting pre-visit planning.
- Perform clinical procedures such as EKGs, rapid strep testing, urine dip testing, spirometry, nebulizer treatments, and other routine diagnostic services.
- Administer vaccines and medications as ordered.
- Educate patients on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care within established guidelines.
- Coordinate and monitor urgent referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up care.
- Review quality and care-gap reports to support patient outcomes and maintain performance standards.
- Maintain adequate inventory of medications and medical supplies.
- Monitor and document vaccine storage temperatures in compliance with Department of Health regulations.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, environmental, OSHA, and Department of Health standards.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies to protect patient information.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and patient experience.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and workflow improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Pay Range:
$18.13-$29.90
