The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the development, delivery, and alignment of Human Resources programs and services in support of Bryant University’s strategic plan. This role provides comprehensive HR support across the full range of functional areas and partners closely with the Human Resources Centers of Excellence, including Benefits, Wellbeing and Payroll;
Employee Talent; and Strategic HR Partners.

Working across these areas, the Senior Human Resources Generalist supports the effective implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, and services to ensure alignment with institutional priorities.

The incumbent independently prioritizes and executes responsibilities based on the overall goals and priorities of the Human Resources Department. This position also carries significant project management responsibility, coordinating cross-functional initiatives and operational activities that span multiple HR disciplines.

The Senior Human Resources Generalist builds strong relationships across the University and serves as a trusted advisor to employees and management, providing guidance on complex, sensitive, and confidential matters. The role also contributes to advancing HR technology, data integrity, and analytics to support informed, data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • HR Programs & Service Delivery
    • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to support the implementation and administration of HR programs across benefits, wellbeing, payroll, talent, compensation, and workforce initiatives.
    • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and procedures to ensure alignment across COEs and compliance with applicable regulations.
    • Support the consistent application and interpretation of HR policies and practices across the University in collaboration with COE leads.
    • Assist in delivering integrated HR services that span multiple functional areas, ensuring a seamless employee experience across the lifecycle.
  • Project Management & Operational Coordination
    • Lead assigned HR projects aligned with departmental and University goals.
    • Coordinate cross-functional activities and track deliverables.
    • Develop project plans and monitor progress.
  • HRIS, Technology & Process Improvement
    • Serve as a key resource across COEs for HR systems, supporting users, troubleshooting issues, and promoting effective system utilization.
    • Partner with COEs to evaluate current HR systems and lead initiatives related to the assessment and potential transition of the Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
    • Support system-related projects including requirements gathering, testing, implementation coordination, and user training across functional areas.
    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across HR systems through audits, collaboration with COEs, and adherence to data governance standards.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes through technology, automation, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Metrics, Reporting & Analytics
    • Collaborate with COEs to develop, standardize, and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data across HR functional areas to identify trends and support strategic decision-making.
    • Support COEs in developing meaningful insights and translating data into actionable recommendations.
    • Respond to ad hoc reporting and data requests, ensuring consistency and accuracy across systems and functions.
