Our client, a manufacturer of specialized industrial equipment based in the Northern RI area, is hiring a Spare Parts Specialist to join their service team. This is a great fit for someone who's detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple requests at once, and looking for a stable,
direct-hire role with a well-established company.
$50,000-$52,000 per year with benefits and bonus potential
Position SummaryThis role manages the full lifecycle of parts and retrofit orders — from processing requests to coordinating repairs, returns, and shipments. You'll work closely with both customers and the corporate office to keep orders moving and issues resolved quickly. It also includes a rotating on-call component, so flexibility and reliability matter as much as attention to detail.
Responsibilities of the Spare Parts Specialist:- Process parts and retrofit orders received by email or phone, and track outstanding offers and orders through to completion.
- Coordinate repairs and returns, ensuring accurate documentation and consistent follow-up with customers and internal teams.
- Communicate directly with customers and the corporate office to resolve parts-related questions and requests.
- Pick, pack, and arrange shipments via UPS, Fed Ex, and other carriers as needed.
- Provide on-call support for emergency parts requests, including one evening per week and a rotating weekend hotline (roughly once every five weeks).
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Outlook and Teams; SAP experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through on open requests.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Flexible and dependable, particularly around scheduled on-call and after-hours coverage.
- Ability to occasionally lift to 50 lbs and perform light physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching.
