Position: Senior Project Manager - (In-Person / No Relocation)
About the Role
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for allocating the right personnel, processes, and resources to ensure team effectiveness and efficiency. The position works collaboratively with business line leaders to motivate project teams and determine the best operational approach to reach a desired outcome. This position specializes in managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast‑paced environment and adapts to project scope changes by placing emphasis on project team involvement and effective communication.
Additionally, this position creates and monitors project timelines, ensures that goals are met, resolves any technical issues, and creates progress reports to share with key internal and external stakeholders. This role works closely with the First Vice President, Core & Digital Banking to elevate issues of concern, which may include project resources, timelines, and engagement to ensure the success of the organization’s initiatives.
What
You Will Do
Plans, organizes, and directs the completion of specific projects ensuring an effective outcome.Builds and maintains relationships with senior stakeholders and executives.Assists internal business partners with the business case and requirements gathering process for beginning a new project.Conducts and coordinates internal and external meetings with key stakeholders to achieve desired project outcomes.Serves as the point of contact between the project execution team and project sponsors within senior management.Takes ownership of all tracking and reporting for assigned projects and initiatives.Ensures the Credit Union’s project methodology is followed for key organizational and department projects when necessary, including creation and approval of a formal business case and vendor due diligence requirements.Establishes and builds relationships across the Navigant business lines to facilitate achievement throughout project life cycles.Helps the team achieve a high level of performance and quality, holding teams accountable for their work, and removing obstacles.Supports process improvement activity while overseeing the rollout of new procedures.Performs all other duties as assigned by the First Vice President, Core and Digital Banking.Qualifications
Education
BA/BS in computer science, programming, business or related field preferred. 7+ years’ proven experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
5+ years project management experience required.Project Management certification required.Strong planning and analytical skills required.Advanced Excel experience or other project tracking software preferred.Proven experience with agile methodologies and change control processes required.Must be a strategic thinker who is an advocate of continuous improvement.Strong member service orientation required in alignment with the credit union’s mission and core values.Must be able to motivate a team, recognize good talent and bring out the best of each member.Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and product vendors required.Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget required.Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision required.Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible with continual changes in projects, product iterations and teams required.Must be PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and the Internet.Benefits
