Cake Decorator & Bakery Production Associate (Full-Time)
On-Site I North Smithfield, RI I $17-$19 per hr
Join Our Bakery TeamAt Wright’s Dairy Farm & Bakery, we take pride in creating high-quality products that our customers love. As a Cake Decorator & Bakery Production Associate, you’ll play a hands‑on role in bringing our pastries and cakes to life—preparing, finishing, and decorating products for both our retail store and wholesale customers.
This is a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment where attention to detail, consistency, and pride in your work matter.

- Decorate and finish cakes, cupcakes, and pastries using a variety of frostings and techniques
- Prepare and assemble baked goods for retail display and wholesale orders
- Follow daily production plans while adjusting to changing demand
- Maintain consistent quality, portioning, and presentation standards
- Restock ingredients and supplies to keep production flowing
- Support team operations, including cleaning and closing tasks
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace (“clean as you go”)
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ask questions when needed
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual
- Team‑oriented with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- At least 1 year of bakery, food production, or cake decorating experience OR relevant culinary/pastry schooling required
- Experience with frosting, piping, or finishing techniques strongly preferred.
- Morning shifts required
- Weekend availability required
- Availability during peak holiday weeks (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas) is required
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands for decorating, cutting, and assembling products
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Work in environments with heat (ovens) and cold (coolers/freezers)
- Exposure to food allergens and cleaning products
- Full‑time position (30+ hours per week)
- Must have reliable transportation
