Position: LEAD CASHIER (FULL TIME)
  • Full‑time Lead Cashier position.
  • Location:

    900 Salem Street, Smithfield, RI 02917. Online applications only.
  • Schedule:

    Monday‑Friday, 6:15 am to 2:30 pm.
  • Fixed pay: $21.00 per hour.
  • Requirement:
    Previous supervisory and cashiering experience.

Job Summary

Maintains guest services in accordance with company standards, expedites guest transactions, ensures guest satisfaction at the service desk, and controls all cash and media materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greets and acknowledges every guest, maintains solid product knowledge, and provides outstanding guest service.
  • Oversees and authorizes guest returns, exchanges, merchandise credits, check authorization, charge sends, rain checks, and discretionary discounts; ensures completion of all Point‑of‑Sale transactions and proper control of cash and media.
  • Assists in training cashiers and cross‑training other associates.
  • Prepares daily deposits, change, and media; some locations have access to safe combinations and keys.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; supports loss‑prevention efforts.
  • Oversees productivity, breaks, and daily scheduling of cashiers; communicates performance issues to management.
  • Maintains front‑end supplies.
  • Provides guest service, floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance, and merchandise replenishment as needed.
  • Cover cashier shifts when call‑offs occur.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Previous supervisory and cashiering experience required.
