HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Installation Technician
CAM HVAC & Construction, part of the Crete United family, is seeking an HVAC Tech to service commercial and public-sector projects in Rhode Island. With a legacy of quality and service since 1974 and an in-house sheet metal shop, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, dynamic company delivering complex HVAC and mechanical projects on time and on budget.
Full time, year‑round permanent position. Pays up to $55 per hour, DOE; higher for prevailing wage jobs.

Smithfield, RI. Service area:
Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts.
Requirements: RI J1 license or MA journeyman license.
HVAC Service TechJob Description
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial and public sector customers. Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
- Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
- Maintain good working order of company vehicle, including refueling as necessary.
- Report any mechanical issues, and fill out and submit monthly vehicle inspection forms. Wash vehicles regularly.
- Maintain proper stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years HVAC experience.
- RI J1, J2, or MA Journeyman pipe fitter / sheet metal / refrigeration license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid EPA certificate.
- Ability to pass a background check.
