Overview
Hybrid Onsite 5 days/week, alternating weeks in Smithfield, RI
The unit provides technical solutions that support corporate functions such as general ledger, accounts payable, and broader corporate finance operations, including support for users across business units and in India. The team focuses on tracking, reporting, and managing corporate finances with stable, scalable systems.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities- Influence software design for testability, accuracy, and security using quality engineering principles.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests including unit, component, integration, functional, performance, scenario, and interoperability tests.
- Support creation of reliable, portable, and credible tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate to improve test coverage, release velocity, and production health.
- Design and develop test automation for front-end applications and web services using Groovy/Geb and Java/HTTP Client.
- Participate in code and test reviews within the Scrum team.
- 4 to 9 years testing and automating Java applications, including event-based microservices.
- Hands-on automation testing of Java Spring Boot microservices and Kafka-based event flows.
- Proficiency with object-oriented languages such as Java, C#, or Groovy.
- Experience with HTTP and RESTful web services, including tools such as HTTP Client, Rest Assured, JMeter, or SoapUI (preferred).
- Experience with UI test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium;
Geb or Karate experience is beneficial. - Strong practice of Test Driven Development and writing maintainable, testable code.
- Experience with Jenkins and Git for CI/CD and source control.
- Cloud application testing experience, preferably AWS.
- Experience with SQL programming and building SQL queries for data validation.
- Ability to investigate and debug issues across front-end applications and web services (preferred).
- Experience testing Angular web applications (preferred).
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the SDLC and experience delivering in Agile environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- AWS certification (preferred).
