Software Engineer in Test – Hybrid

Locations:
Providence, RI;
Durham, NC; NYC, NY;
Dallas, TX. Hybrid work environment. W2 only.

• 5-7 years of hands‑on experience in automated testing for modern applications
• Strong proficiency with API and UI automation frameworks, specifically Karate and Cypress
• Solid SQL skills – writing joins, filters, and aggregations for test validation and data inspection
• Experience with mocking, seeding, synthetic data creation, and backend state validation through SQL
• Moderate Java proficiency – capable of extending Karate‑based frameworks and utilities
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/Type Script for Cypress test automation
• Comprehensive understanding of testing REST APIs, microservices, and event‑driven systems (Kafka experience a plus)
