Full Stack Engineer (Angular / Java)
Design, develop, and modernize Client's Funds Network application, replacing legacy SharePoint-dependent components with a secure, modern web application. This role owns both the Angular front end and supporting backend services as part of a security-driven platform rewrite.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, secure front-end components and features using Angular.
- Design and build backend services/APIs to replace SharePoint-dependent functionality.
- Support evaluation and integration of the chosen SharePoint replacement platform (e.g., Nuxeo) for document/content management.
- Partner with architects to migrate existing SharePoint sites, lists, workflows, and integrations to the new platform while preserving functionality.
- Write clean, secure, maintainable code aligned to Fidelity's coding and security standards.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and technical design discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects spanning front-end, backend, and integration layers.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of full stack development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular (recent versions).
- Backend development experience in Java (Spring/Spring Boot preferred).
- Experience with RESTful API design, development, and integration.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices in regulated or financial-services environments.
- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience migrating an application off SharePoint.
- Experience with content/document management platforms such as Nuxeo.
- Financial services or investment industry experience.
