Project Manager Apprentice Build More Than Houses. Build a Career.

757 Building Company is one of Coastal Virginia’s fastest-growing residential builders, specializing in barndominiums, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and residential renovation projects. No two days are the same, and no two projects are alike.

This is not just another job—it’s a paid apprenticeship for someone who wants to build a career in residential construction. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learn every phase of the building process, and play an important role in delivering exceptional homes to our clients.

If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, staying organized, and taking ownership of your work, we’d love to meet you.

Who We Are

At 757 Building Company, our culture matters just as much as our craftsmanship. Every member of our team is expected to live out our core values every day.

Positive Attitude / Team Spirit

We foster a relentless, upbeat attitude that elevates everyone around us. We go above and beyond our individual roles to help accomplish the company’s mission. No negativity. No egos. No culture vultures. Just teamwork.

Pursuit of Mastery

We take pride in our work. We strive to execute with precision, continuously improve our skills, and produce results that consistently exceed expectations.

High Speed, Low Drag

We move with urgency while protecting quality. We stay focused on the mission, eliminate unnecessary friction, and avoid distractions. We touch things once whenever possible and keep projects moving forward.

Extreme Ownership

We take responsibility—to an extreme degree. We own the outcome, not just the task. We don’t make excuses, pass blame, or wait for someone else to solve problems. We follow through and get results.

5-Star Service

We believe every client interaction matters. Our goal isn’t simply to build homes—it’s to build lifelong relationships that generate enthusiastic referrals from satisfied clients.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting salary: $45,000 per year
  • Monthly truck/gas allowance

  • 15 days of combined paid vacation, sick leave, and personal time after six (6) months of employment
  • Paid holidays
  • Extensive hands-on training and mentorship
Schedule & Work Environment
  • This is a full-time position averaging 40+ hours per week.
  • Work is performed primarily on active residential construction sites throughout Hampton Roads and the surrounding areas.
  • While the schedule is generally Monday through Friday, occasional evenings or weekends may be required to meet project deadlines, prepare for inspections, respond to weather-related issues, or complete other high-priority construction activities.
  • Applicants should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
What You’ll Do

Working directly under our Project Manager, you’ll learn every aspect of residential construction while helping keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include:
  • Visit active job sites daily to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to keep projects moving.
  • Pick up and deliver materials to job sites when needed.
  • Verify deliveries and ensure crews have the materials they need before they need them.
  • Perform quality-control inspections throughout each phase of construction.
  • Create punch lists and verify completion before homes are turned over.
  • Take progress photos and maintain organized job documentation.
  • Communicate daily with the office regarding project status, scheduling, and challenges.
  • Assist with light construction tasks to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Perform occasional manual labor as needed, including installing silt fence, cleaning up job sites, entering crawlspaces, moving materials, loading trailers, and completing other field tasks that support the team.
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
  • Learn scheduling, budgeting, estimating, customer service, subcontractor management, and project leadership.
