Join our dynamic team as a
** Hospitalist**, where you’ll play a vital role in managing and coordinating care for hospitalized patients.
** About the Role
** As a Hospitalist, you will serve as the primary care provider for inpatients, overseeing their medical care from admission through discharge. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.
** Key Responsibilities*** + Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients  + Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions  + Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and support staff for integrated care  + Monitor patient progress, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans  + Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans  + Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and transitions of care
** What We’re Looking For*** + Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine  + Strong clinical and diagnostic skills  + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities  + Experience in hospital settings and familiarity with inpatient protocols  + Commitment to patient advocacy and continuous quality improvement

Education

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Certification(s) and License(s)
Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Virginia Board Certified or Board Eligible by [name of approved boards]Current DEA

Qualifications:

Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care.

Ability to document appropriately and communicate with appropriate parties in a timely manner.

Ability to complete charts in a timely manner.

Experienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions

Basic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population

Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor

Excellent communication skills
