Overview

The Human Resources team is searching for an ambitious individual to join our mission to discover, hire, and retain great talent. This person will be a conduit for positive employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, and a focal point for employee support. The role supports business units on our corporate campus of Smithfield, VA, and involves employment and personnel documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Maintain the Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from the database.
  • Collect and analyze HR data and make recommendations to the HR Business Partner.
  • Support the functional areas of human resources including personnel records, employee relations, benefits administration, training, safety, ADA administration, and special projects.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures through communication tools and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field and 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Working knowledge of employment law practices.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits, compensation, and other programs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to work well with various levels of leadership across the organization.
  • Ability to cross‑train within the corporate HR team.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team‑oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations as needed.
Compensation & Benefits

Expected pay range: $55,000 – $82,500 annually.

Relocation package available.

Location

Smithfield, Virginia (corporate campus).
