Part‑Time Evening Shift Registered Nurse Supervisor in Smithfield, VA! Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehabilitation Smithfield is offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus.

LLHR Smithfield is looking for an evening shift RN Supervisor to work hours 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, with one weekday and every other weekend required.

Overview

Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Supervises and directs nursing services on one or more units in a facility. Assesses, plans, implements, and executes resident care and directs all activities in order to provide quality service. Maintains close contact with residents, families and staff while coordinating nursing services with all other disciplines.

What You Will Do
  • Assign duties to professional and non‑professional staff according to education, training, policy and resident need. Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed to assure quality resident care is delivered.
  • Work with DON/Nurse Manager to keep labor expenses within budget.
  • Work with DON/Nurse Manager on onboarding, orientation and supervision of the nursing staff to ensure safe work practices.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate resident plans of care. Communicate plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff. Identify changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process. Demonstrate consistent follow‑through for positive resident outcomes. Utilize good judgment and specialized skills. Demonstrate the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
  • Allow resident choices within limits of capability considering safety/dignity issues and follow policies and procedures of the facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Experience

  • Charge Nurse (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) – Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) – Upon Hire (Required)
  • CPR/BLS Certification – American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days (Required)
