Opportunity

Imagine leading the electrical architecture for products that first responders rely on every day. This Senior Electrical Engineer role puts you at the center of developing embedded electronic systems used in life-saving equipment. From electric water cannons to advanced vehicle lighting and sensors, you will see your designs make a tangible difference in the field.

You will own the entire hardware design lifecycle—from concept through production—for new products and provide sustaining engineering for mature ones. This means creating schematics, overseeing PCB layouts, conducting tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability. Your work will directly influence the performance and reliability of systems that operate in demanding environments.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and has a strong foundation in microcontroller-based design. You should be proficient with tools like Altium and experienced with communication protocols such as CAN and SPI. If you are a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder with five or more years of embedded hardware experience, this is your chance to step into a role with high visibility and impact.

This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, growing company that values its engineering talent. You will enjoy a competitive salary, a meaningful bonus, and the chance to work on multiple cutting-edge products. The team is small enough that your contributions will be noticed, and the leadership is committed to moving quickly. Apply today and let's start a conversation about your future.

Non-Negotiables
  • You must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder to be considered for this position
  • You need at least five years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining embedded hardware systems
  • You require strong knowledge of microcontroller-based hardware design, including ARM and Microchip processor families
  • You should be proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium
  • You must have a solid understanding of communication protocols like CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART
  • You need experience with test equipment such as signal generators, multimeters, and oscilloscopes for board-level debugging
  • You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Master's is a plus
What's In It For You
  • You will join a leader in first responder technology, working on systems integrated into firetrucks and emergency vehicles
  • The electrical engineering department is small and growing, giving you exposure to multiple products and high-impact projects
  • You can earn an annual performance bonus that has historically exceeded target, sometimes paying out at multiples over one
  • You will enjoy a collaborative culture with direct access to the head of engineering, ensuring quick feedback and decision-making
  • You will have the stability of a well-established company with a strong market presence and a track record of growth
  • You will receive competitive base pay between $115,000 and $125,000 plus an 8% bonus, reflecting the value of your expertise
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop embedded electronic systems for products such as electric water cannons, vehicle lighting, pressure governors, sensors, and control modules
  • Drive hardware development from schematic design and PCB layout through functional and system-level testing
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing personnel to deliver robust and manufacturable solutions
  • Create project timelines based on product specifications and manage projects to meet commitments and milestones
  • Provide technical support and root cause analysis for legacy products to ensure sustained performance
  • Interface with engineering teams and vendors to implement new and modified designs
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to simulate and validate system performance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with designing for EMC and EMI compliance is highly desired
  • Familiarity with integrating wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular, or LoRa will set you apart
