Civil Project Engineer​/Production Manager - Smithville, MO

BG Consultants, Inc. is searching for an experienced project engineer / production manager to join our growing team in Smithville, Missouri. This is a mid- to upper-level position, equivalent in rank to project manager, with responsibility for leading design of general civil engineering projects in the areas of water/wastewater/stormwater, transportation, and site development. The ideal candidate has a desire to lead office staff in plan production activities by performing engineering design, collaborating with multi-disciplinary team members, providing training and mentoring to less experienced engineers, keeping client managers informed of project status, and assisting in the development of design tools, standards, and processes.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer
• Experience:
  
  5+ years
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Open Roads
• Familiarity with Arc View/GIS
• Knowledge of transportation, hydrology, and hydraulics software packages
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to perform complex engineering tasks independently
• Resourcefulness and ability to communicate with a high level of professionalism
