Position: PRODUCTION GROUP LEADER

The Production Group Leader is responsible for managing and overseeing daily manufacturing operations to hit rigorous production quotas, safety benchmarks, and quality requirements. This position directly leads and develops Team Leaders, organizes floor groups, and enforces shop floor discipline. The Group Leader champions employee engagement, handles floor-level troubleshooting, and leads active Kaizen and continuous improvement projects to maximize throughput.

Essential Job Functions & Duties:
  • Supervise daily manufacturing floor operations to guarantee full adherence to production schedules and shipment milestones.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate production team members to achieve top-tier performance, safety compliance, and quality metrics.
  • Analyze real‑time product rejections and line errors; institute prompt corrective adjustments on the floor.
  • Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and steer cross‑functional focus groups using the PDCA framework.
  • Direct and champion localized Kaizen events and 3‑Pillar production area initiatives to boost lineside efficiency.
  • Maintain absolute accuracy within the ERP / CMS production entry tracking databases and Master Schedule layouts.
  • Draft, audit, and upgrade Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines across assembly sectors.
Skills & Qualifications

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory or leadership experience on a fast‑paced manufacturing production floor.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing shift resources, and coordinating material logistics.
  • Hands‑on experience with lean manufacturing principles, structured lineside problem‑solving, and Kaizen.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and technical reporting skills.
