- Set up and operate brake press machines to produce parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders to determine appropriate machine settings
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality of parts
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot issues with the machine and perform regular maintenance as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure production deadlines are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Use various measuring, locating, and testing tools
- Maximize throughput while minimizing scrap and material losses
- Willing to cross-train in other areas when necessary to meet changing customer demand
- Follow all safety procedures, support a culture of a safe and healthy workplace
- Maintain proper housekeeping of work center
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Brake Press Operator
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders
- Knowledge of brake press machine operations and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with measurements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
