About the role:This role combines ownership of Serrala's established compliance framework with broader legal responsibilities, including contract negotiations, legal advisory, ESG initiatives, and support for commercial business activities.
Your Day to Day:- Monitor and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for a global provider of cash and payment solutions.
- Advise management and business stakeholders on compliance and general legal matters.
- Review and negotiate customer contracts, particularly regarding regulatory and commercial obligations.
- Support customer tenders (RFPs/RFQs) and maintain compliance-related documentation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, and further develop policies and processes.
- Deliver training and raise awareness on compliance topics across the organisation.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and certifications (ISO, SOC
2). - Lead ESG-related activities, including reporting, sustainability initiatives, and communication with authorities and external stakeholders.
- Fully qualified lawyer with a degree in Law, Business Law, or a comparable field.
- Professional experience in compliance and general commercial legal matters, ideally in an international environment.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating customer contracts and advising business stakeholders on legal topics.
- Broad understanding of relevant Dutch, German, and European regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills, business judgement, and a pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
- Languages:
Dutch (C2) and English (C1/C2);
German skills (B2) are an advantage.
