Summer Camp Counselor

A summer camp counselor is responsible for planning and leading various recreational activities for children during summer camp, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a positive and engaging camp experience through mentorship, group activities, and skill development, often including outdoor skills and sports, all while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead indoor and outdoor activities to engage campers
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all assigned campers
  • Maintain positive relationships with campers, parents and staff
  • Assist with mediating camper conflict in a positive manner and support Summer Camp Director's behavior management strategies
  • Follow all safety and security procedures communicated prior to the start of camp
  • Complete online training and in-person training
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Days/

    Hours:

    Monday - Friday from 8:45 a.m.

    - 4:15 p.m.
