Seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for a contract position in Smyrna, DE, to support students with hearing impairments in a school setting. This role focuses on delivering specialized educational instruction tailored to the unique communication and learning needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, ensuring their academic success and social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor the educational needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals.
  • Utilize sign language, assistive technology, and other communication methods as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize student learning.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:
  • Valid certification or licensure in Deaf Education or related field.
