Summary
The incumbent monitors subgrant programs for compliance with state and federal regulations, conducts program research and data collection, and provides staff support to the subcommittees of the Delaware Criminal Justice Council.

- Reviews and analyzes various programs administered in other states to assess feasibility of program duplication in Delaware.
- Conducts studies and surveys, analyzes information, and reports findings and recommendations.
- Monitors and evaluates programs funded through the Council to ensure compliance with federal/state grant requirements.
- Drafts legislation required to implement new or revised existing programs.
- Provides staff support to task forces and subcommittees.
- Participates in preparation of grant applications, drafting narrative descriptions of program/project objectives and goals.
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- One year experience in program evaluation (identifying problems, determining compliance, evaluating effectiveness and efficiency).
- Six months experience in criminal justice research (systematic study to discover and establish facts).
- Six months experience interacting with criminal justice organizations such as law enforcement, courts, corrections, parole boards, community groups, or local governments.
- Six months experience in descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode or standard deviation).
- Six months experience recommending alternatives, improvements, courses of action and other changes based on findings.
- Six months experience developing policies or procedures.
- Six months experience writing reports in a structured format containing introduction, thesis/purpose, supporting evidence, analysis, and recommendations.
- Knowledge of grant management and control, including monitoring and evaluating grant expenditures.
