Position

Summary

This position is part of our Meritain Pharmacy Solutions CARE (Cost Avoidance Research Effort) team. The Meritain Pharmacy Solutions CARE Specialist will engage with patients, helping them to navigate the complexities of healthcare, as well as assisting them in pricing for high-cost medications. This person will work to help ensure our people, processes, and technology enable our CARE savings strategies to navigate the health care system, as well as respond to client and member questions surrounding high-cost medication needs.

This person will:

  • Research specialty drug cost savings for our members and self-funded clients.
  • Monitors performance of high dollar specialty claims.
  • Research and outreach on appropriate interchanges of medications from the medical to pharmacy benefit.
  • Help triage escalated, high-touch member claims issues and service concerns.
  • Performs outbound communication, and proactive outreach to members to ensure they have maximal savings on specialty medications.
  • Help research available assistance programs (PAP (Patient Assistance Programs) and foundational) for specialty medications not covered for our members.
  • Communicate with provider offices regarding specialty medication therapies.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician in a pharmacy setting.
  • 2+ years of specialty medication knowledge.
  • 2+ years of experience with manufacturer copay assistance, foundational assistance and patient assistance programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician in a pharmacy setting.
  • 3-5 years of specialty medication knowledge.
  • 3-5 years of experience with manufacturer copay assistance, foundational assistance and patient assistance programs.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $46,988.00 - $

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
