The Public Health Administrator I reports to a Public Health Administrator II and functions as a Bureau Chief overseeing select programs in Health Systems Protection. The role involves supervising a 100-person section, coordinating daily operations, managing grants and contracts, and implementing complex federal programs in accordance with state and federal requirements.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Six months experience in public health administration implementing policies and operational plans
- Three years experience in public health planning including analysis of programs and health data
- Six months experience in strategic planning and contract management
- Six months experience in staff supervision and policy/procedure development
- Knowledge of grant management and monitoring expenditures
