Position: Registered Nurse School Setting in Smyrna, DE

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid RN license in Delaware (or eligible to obtain)
• Experience working in a pediatric, school, or community health setting preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Open to travel nurses and those with an interest in contract roles

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care-including medication administration, care for injuries/illnesses, and chronic condition management
• Perform health screenings and maintain accurate health records in compliance with state regulations
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Advocate for students' health needs and participate in Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) or 504 meetings
• Educate students and staff regarding wellness, illness prevention, and safety
• Communicate effectively with parents, school personnel, and healthcare providers
