Monitor installations and ensure work is performed to Nickle standards and project specifications. Work cooperatively with the GC and customer to manage the project, schedule, and crew — maintaining productivity, safety, quality control, labor cost, scheduling, and materials through successful project completion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish project goals, assign tasks to journeymen, and maintain accurate paperwork to meet productivity objectives
  • Manage purchase orders and confirm ordered materials are received
  • Adhere to contract document changes and Nickle change orders
  • Provide the Superintendent/Project Manager timely notice of any employee changes
  • Anticipate and proactively resolve potential issues; ensure crews start and finish on time
  • Assist Project Managers in documenting performance evaluations
  • Communicate effectively with owners, general contractors, management, and employees
  • Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
  • Test circuits and inspect systems for hazards, defects, and code compliance
  • Direct and train workers; instruct and teach apprentices
  • Maintain a safe workplace per safety policies and OSHA; prepare toolbox talks
  • Utilize the National Electrical Code (NEC)
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Journeyman License in Delaware or completion of 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Minimum 4 years of field experience
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel to Tri-State projects
  • Ability to bend conduit
  • Skilled in ordering and tracking materials, cost projections, and as-built drawings
  • Knowledge of scheduling, material lead times, products, and installation durations
  • Solid understanding of electrical codes and installation methods
  • Knowledge of power systems: lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks
  • Experience building, installing, and maintaining control panels
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Prolonged standing and repetitive motion, squatting and kneeling in a tool belt, and climbing ladders. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Work indoors and outdoors in all weather with exposure to noise. Protective equipment required; may require overtime or an adjusted schedule.
