Material Handler
POSITION PURPOSE
The Production Associate is responsible for efficiently sorting and processing quality merchandise in a timely manner and making price tags or stickers for items that require a ticket. The incumbent follows all unit price and Solutions guidelines. The Production Associate is also responsible for welcoming and assisting donors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIESHigh school diploma or GED equivalent and related experience and/or training is preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES- Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and ability to learn new software skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds of merchandise.
- Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends as the business dictates.

AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
